Detailed Design for 14 Elevated Stations: Pune Metro Rail Project
Context and challenges
The Pune Metro project aims to enhance urban mobility by extending metro connectivity through two key elevated corridors: Kharadi–Khadakwasla and Nal Stop–Manik Baug.
The project involves the design and development of 14 elevated metro stations (excluding viaduct portions), incorporating architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and system integration elements.
- 2 Corridors : Kharadi–Khadakwasla & Nal Stop–Manik Baug
- 14 Elevated stations
Assystem is entrusted with delivering integrated engineering and design solutions leveraging advanced BIM tools, ensuring timely submission of design deliverables, quality assurance, and lifecycle-oriented design coordination for all 14 stations.
Project Scope
- Preparation and submission of General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) for all 14 stations.
- Architectural Design including passenger flow planning, station aesthetics, and spatial functionality.
- Structural Design for all station components – substructure, superstructure, and ancillary buildings.
- MEP Design including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.
- Utilities and Drainage Design with interface management for existing services.
- Integration with System Works (Signaling, Telecom, AFC, etc.).
- Design Coordination using BIM environment for clash detection and interdisciplinary review.
- Construction Support Services including site clarifications and review of contractor submissions.
- Quality Assurance and Documentation as per client’s design standards.
