Context and challenges

Assystem in India has been awarded a contract to contribute comprehensive project consultancy and project management services for the elimination of level crossings across the Central Railway network of India, through construction of ROBs, RUBs, LHSs, road diversions, and associated infrastructure.

Project Scope

Feasibility studies and preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs).
Topographical surveys, final location surveys, and geotechnical investigations.
Utility mapping, infringement surveys, and land-related support activities.
Development of concept plans and General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) for ROBs.
Detailed engineering and design of railway spans, approaches, retaining structures, ramps, pavement systems, and associated civil infrastructure.
Preparation of cost estimates, BOQs, technical specifications, and bid documents.
Bid process management and tender support until contract award.
Project Management Consultancy (PMC), construction supervision, quality assurance, safety monitoring, and progress tracking during execution.
Deployment of multidisciplinary experts including design specialists, resident engineers, safety experts, quality experts, survey specialists, traffic experts, and project controls professionals.
Defect Liability Period (DLP) monitoring and maintenance support after commissioning.
