Context and challenges

Assystem in India has been appointed as the Proof Check Consultant (PC) to support South Western Railway in proof checking the designs of project and contracts in different stages.

Project Scope

Proof Check Consultant (PC) Services for construction organisation in South Western Railway supporting the execution of the following:

New line, doubling, 3rd and 4th line projects
Grade separator
Road over bridges and road under bridges
Station buildings
Foot Over Bridges, PF Shelter, Protection works
Embankment designs, Retaining walls
Other ancillary structures

Technical Deliverables:

Verify and validate all designs and engineering outputs of structure through independent analysis and design calculations.
Verify all design documents, drawings, plans and calculations, construction sequences, methods, safety and reports for both permanent and temporary work designs produced by the designer/s of contractors.
Design Drawings developed by DDC must have relevant notes & reference to specific method statements. The detailing of every connection & joint shall be specifically checked with respect to design document. All such deliverables shall be scrutinised by proof check consultant before conveying their approval to the client.
