Site & Impact Studies for the Construction of a Port in Saudi Arabia

Riding on the goal to develop Saudi Arabia through a model of high quality and prosperity in various sectors, a large industrial city was born, which comprised of industrial and technological value chains.
The project, which kick-started a few years ago, includes several regional and sectoral strategies like agri-food, sports, energy, etc. To make sure that all sectors were aligned with each other and closely linked to the overall vision, a review and integration stage was needed.
The industrial city will cover an area of approximately 200-250 km², with part of it located by the sea.

In this context, the client – a company established for the development of the industrial city – commissioned us to carry out area assessment, site selection and site characterisation services for the construction of the port: Surface geophysical studies (ERT, MASW, MASWM, seismic refraction), topographical studies, optic base drone survey and Orthophoto generation, port site area report, etc.

The port was constructed on schedule thanks to our expedited delivery of the expected elements.
